News from our houses Things to see and do

Knowsley Hall, one of Merseyside’s most treasured historical stately homes, will be decking its halls and making all things glitter and shine in preparation for an unforgettable festive season of magical events – and tickets are available now.

Christmas Carols with Leos Strings – 14th December

Get into the festive spirit with a traditional Christmas carol sing-along, accompanied by the incredible Leos Strings, renowned string quintet, joined by brass musicians.  The ideal festive event for all the family, guests can get all warm and cosy by the Hot Chocolate Bar – or opt for a delicious mulled wine – and savour freshly made mince pies as they enjoy an evening of festive merriment.

The Christmas Carols with Leos Strings event runs from 6:30pm – 9:30pm.  Tickets cost £15 per adult, £10 per child (under 16).  Ticket price includes unlimited hot chocolate, a mince pie and carol sheet.  Additional drinks incur an extra cost.

Festive Signature Afternoon Tea – 14th December

Knowsley Hall’s stunning luxury Signature Afternoon Tea returns with a festive twist!

Inspired by the charming characters and whimsical adventures featured within the poem The Owl and the Pussycat, famously penned by renowned writer and illustrator Edward Lear at Knowsley Hall, guests will embark on a journey of delightful, festive culinary delights, with ingredients freshly sourced from Knowsley Estate’s farms, gamekeepers, and private gardens.

Upon arrival, beautiful music will welcome guests before they are escorted to their table, seated and invited to create their own seasonal cocktail/mocktail, utilising Knowsley Hall’s Walled Garden Gin as a base and adding their own choice of a tea-based tincture. Knowsley Hall’s attentive and knowledgeable staff will then serve guests a selection of delicious savoury bites curated by in-house chef Alex Makin, abounding with festive flair. Freshly baked sweet and savoury scones – all accompanied by Knowsley estate honey and fresh thyme from the grounds – and an assortment of exquisite pastries and cakes bursting with seasonal flavours will be ready to enjoy. Guests can also look forward to unlimited tea of their choosing.

The Festive Signature Afternoon Tea runs from 2pm to 5pm, seating times to be allocated when booking. Tickets cost £60 per person.

Michael Hamilton, General Manager, Knowsley Hall says: “We’re delighted to be launching our festive events, which are designed to provide unique and special occasions for families, friends and colleagues to create unforgettable memories.  We’re really looking forward to providing the warmest of welcomes to everyone visiting Knowsley Hall this festive season.”

For those looking for an extra special Christmas gift, Knowsley Hall will be welcoming Belle Voci, the classical chart-topping duo who stole the nation’s hearts as finalists on ITV’s The Voice UK. Described by Jennifer Hudson as ‘Perfection’, Knowsley Hall is offering the gift of an unforgettable evening on 22nd February, with tickets also including a magnificent four course dinner.  Tickets costs £90 per person, available now to purchase here.
