Gold for gardening team at Hever Castle
Hever Castle & Gardens has once again been awarded a prestigious Gold medal for its 125 acre gardens. It is the sixth year running that the gardens have been awarded gold by South & South in East in Bloom.
The South East in Bloom judges scored the gardens 185 out of 200, describing them as “outstanding” and “immaculately maintained” and praising Head Gardener Neil Miller and the gardening team.
They said: “Despite the lockdown and the reduction in garden staff, from the images provided the maintenance at Hever once again shows itself to be a premier gardens and one that S&SEIB is pleased to be associated with.”
The South & South East in Bloom is the largest horticultural campaign in the region involving 100’s of communities each year. Participating communities create lasting improvements to their local environment for the benefit of those that live, work and visit.
The gardening team are gearing up for a busy Autumn Colour event (from 1st October) with six weeks of colour therapy, designed to extol the health benefits of trees and nature.
