The Warmwell prophesy by the renowned scholar Mr Sadler was made in 1661. He was Cromwell’s secretary, a scholar of oriental languages, and Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge. He predicted The Great Fire of London, The Great Plague, the unsuccessful Monmouth Rebellion and the Glorious Revolution in 1688. A facsimile can be seen at Warmwell (the original is in the British Museum).
