Accessibility

The front steps to the Hall are quite steep so access for people with disabilities is via the back door.  Notice should be given to the office so that ramps can be put down.

The ground floor of the Hall is all on one level.  However to get to the Ballroom visitors with disabilities should go out the way they came in and then there is vehicular access to get to the Ballroom, or a good push up a bit of a slope.  Once at the Ballroom, where refreshments are served, access is good, as well as to the toilets.

Most of the Garden can be visited by wheelchair users and there are some steps which can be avoided if necessary.  Obviously if the ground is wet this may be more of a challenge as there are no solid paths, it is all on grass.

Accommodation at Walcot Hall

All of our cottages and glamping ‘Hidden Treasures’ fit in well with the impressive and energetic ambiance of this renowned estate.

Walcot Hall is best known for its idyllic setting, which makes a unique wedding location and houses some of the most characterful accommodation in Shropshire. The two complement each other, as it is often hard to find an ideal wedding venue with accommodation of the same level for the whole family!

Our weekend breaks are for either a Friday and Saturday night or Saturday and Sunday night (2 x nights) and our mid-week breaks are for Monday-Friday (4 x nights).

Weekly stays are also available but please note that at Christmas, New Year and Easter, all bookings are for a minimum of 7 x nights.

Check in time is from 4.00pm and departure time is 10.30am.

We don’t have a traditional check in/out procedure, upon receipt of the final payment, all the information/directions and maps are emailed to the guests so you can make your own way to your accommodation, let yourself in and make yourself at home.
