Built in 1720 Stock Gaylard is a Georgian House overlooking an ancient fallow deer park.
The estate is approximately 1800 acres with around 300 acres of predominantly oak woodland. A 14th-century dovecote can be found in the garden.
We have an ethos of conservation and preservation and to help to preserve our country estate we offer Yurt holidays.
The house is open to the public in April, June and September and we welcome pre-booked groups at other times.
We offer a conducted tour of principle rooms of the house and up the stone passage to the old kitchen.
You are free to enter the church and walk around the garden at you leisure.
You are most likely to be shown around the house by Mr or Mrs Langmead.

Approximately half way between Sherborne and Sturminster Newton, on the A3030 opposite turning to Kingstag B3143 Turn down drive between two stone pillars at the Lodge.
You can take the train to Sherborne and a taxi for about 15 mins, taxis wait at the station.
