St Giles house lies in Wimborne St Giles on the southern edge of Cranborne Chase. The River Allen rises nearby, and in old documents the village was known as Upwimborne, along with Upwimborne Malmayne and Up Plecy.
St Giles is a family house with a long and rich history spanning over 400 years, inspiring generations of people who have had influence on the world around them. In recent times an award winning restoration has seen it brought back to life and become a family home once again.
St.Giles House fell into a period of disrepair following the Second World War and appeared on the English Heritage “Buildings at Risk” register. In 2010 we embarked on a project to bring the house back to life. What started as a simple plan to move the family back into the house developed into a full 5 year restoration project that is still ongoing.

Life at the house is vibrant and exciting. We live with our three children and host events every weekend, including concerts midweek. The house has a warm and friendly atmosphere and even though it's grand in scale it is very much a family-home feeling.
