Preston Hall is a Grade A listed house built in the Palladian style and set in beautiful parklands. The foundation stone was laid on Friday 18th March 1791 and a London based architect, Robert Mitchell, was employed to redesign the existing William Adam house.

Considered one of Mitchell’s most important works, the Palladian mansion house remains largely unchanged from its original design. Notable features of the house are the stunning central staircase, the family Drawing Room, The Morning Room, and the Dining Room. Minor alterations have been made over the years with the most notable one taking place in 1850 when David Bryce was commissioned to add a porch to the north side of the house. This then became the main entrance. Complementing the house are the stables, the recently restored 18th century walled garden, and over two hundred acres of parkland.
