Penicuik House, built in 1760, offers a rich historical backdrop for your special day. Owned by the Clerk family for generations this grand, iconic and eccentric house is overflowing with art and furniture collected over centuries of the family’s grand tours.

Brimming with heritage and timeless elegance it can be exclusively yours for your special day. With eleven suites and five generous double bedrooms, all en-suite, it sleeps 32 overnight guests with further guest accommodation available in our beautiful collection of lovingly restored cottages and houses.

Inside Penicuik House, two grand reception rooms each accommodate up to 48 people for your ceremony and evening entertainment, as does the formal dining room. The house also features a large wood-panelled bar with an open roaring fire, a light-filled drawing room, and a sumptuous cinema room with enormous sofas.

The eclectic vibe continues outside in the Italian courtyard, gardens and terraces – a stylish setting for drinks receptions and those all-important photo opportunities.
