Hire Paxton House
Paxton is a wonderfully flexible venue, whether you are looking to plan a conference or corporate activity day. Our variety of rooms cater for a range of different size events:
- Picture Gallery which can accommodate up to 150 guests
- The original Dining Room which can accommodate 40 guests
- The versatile Hayloft which seats 80
- The house also has its own luxury marquee for up to 200 guests which overlooks the River Tweed.
Paxton House also has a quirky Boathouse for al fresco BBQ’s that caters for 30 guests. With the addition of Paxton’s own boats, which are available for trips up the River Tweed, it really is the place to celebrate.

Accommodation at Paxton House
Here at Paxton we have plenty of accommodation for you to stay in and enjoy the 80 acres of grounds for an unlimited amount of time.
Glamping
There are 5 luxury glamping units situated in the Paxton House estate overlooking the beautiful River Tweed. Glampotel combines the very best of camping under canvas, with the luxuries of a boutique hotel.
The Garden Apartment
Our Garden Apartment is situated on the ground floor of the regency wing of the house, which was completed in 1813 to house the elegant Picture Gallery and Library, with their priceless collections of furniture, paintings and objets d’art.
The South Lodge
The South Lodge is a fully refurbished cottage situated at the entrance to Paxton House. This self catered apartment is pet friendly and comes with parking, a garden and access to all of the houses’ grounds.
The Caravan Park
With just 15 van-sites available, you can be sure of a relaxing and quiet stay within our grounds. Guests staying in our Caravan Park gain have unlimited free access to the 80 acres of grounds, including riverside and woodland walks.
