Varying gardens with wide range of plants and trees surround moated medieval manor. Includes scented, sensory, four elements and rose gardens. Children’s garden with enchanted trail and playground.
Boardwalk, bird hide, meadow and lakes. Ruined church. Tearooms with homemade cakes and local specialities. Stable Gallery with art exhibitions.
Visits to the gardens are free to Historic Houses members.

Enjoy a house and garden tour led by a member of the Walpole family.
The hall was extended in the 1860s by the 4th and 5th Earls of Orford and remains a Walpole family home. The gardens feature roses, especially classic varieties, themed borders, a ruined church, Victorian follies, wildflower meadow, bird hide and arboretum.
Tours include tea and cakes, and some include lunch or supper.

Visits are possible outside public opening season and times. In order to obtain your party rate, each group that you bring should book at least 2 weeks in advance, paying for a minimum of 15 people.
