Knowsley has been the home to the Earls of Derby since 1385, and the Hall, set in an extensive private park, houses a splendid and historically important collection of fine art.
The Hall today is a fascinating structure, boasting a classic Georgian facade and some extremely fine Jacobean, Baroque and Victorian interiors, including the breath-taking 58 foot long State Dining Room with its impressive carved oak panelling and lofty figurative ceiling.
Since 1999, after the first phase of major restoration project, the Hall has been available for conferences, weddings, other private and corporate events and filming.
Knowsley Hall boasts 17 beautifully appointed bedrooms (fifteen ensuite bedrooms and two further bedrooms with shared washroom facilities) which have all been individually designed by The Countess of Derby and well maintained by the team of housekeepers. When staying overnight at Knowsley Hall you are hiring the entire stately home and all the bedrooms on an exclusive use basis whether that’s for just two people or 36 people.
Knowsley Hall is open to the public for only five days a year although pre-booked groups are welcome throughout the year.
Knowsley Hall is primarily open for exclusive events, such as weddings, gala dinners, award ceremonies, filming and corporate functions, but is also open for 5 days per year to the public for guided tours.
£24 pp to include tour with tea, coffee and biscuits.
Please contact events@knowsley.com or call 0151 489 4827 to find out more about their open days.
