Standing on a steep slope above the winding River Derwent and two miles from Bassenthwaite Lake, Isel Hall is a spectacular building.

Its south facing terraces command glorious views to the river, which is banked with rhododendrons in the spring.

In the distance are the Lakeland fells and Skiddaw.

Mondays 14th April to 8th September 2025

Weekends 12&13th April, 9&10th August,13&14 September and 21st September 2025

Open 1pm – 5pm (last tour 6pm
