Located in the Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), Glyn Cywarch is a 17th Century Grade ll* listed Jacobean Manor House, meticulously restored. Embracing a simple and rustic aesthetic that perfectly compliments its beautiful setting. Rooms that tell unique stories, a rose garden, orchard and ancient walled garden with pleached apple trees and a lime avenue. The property is completely private and peaceful, with only the tranquil sound of bird songs through the trees.
The Hall comfortably sleeps up to nineteen guests. The first floor comprises six double rooms and two single rooms. Four bedrooms have ensuite shower/bath facilities.
The second floor has another 3 single rooms, a shared bathroom and a converted loft space, which is now a yoga room. Additionally, there is a butler’s bothy connected to the gatehouse, which has a double bed, bathroom, kitchen and sitting room.
On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen complete with an electric AGA, induction hob and electric oven. We operate on a self-catering basis, but we can fully staff Glyn Cywarch upon request for those desiring a more elevated experience. There is a large formal dining room, a study with flat screen TV, board games and fireplace, and the Long Room, which is a large relaxing space with an open fire, inviting sofas and a piano.
Surrounding the house are lush gardens, from the reinstated rose garden and orchard to the ancient walled garden with pleached apple trees and a lime avenue with the addition of a nuttery and a potager inviting birds and wildflowers to enhance the natural beauty. Adjacent is park land with rare breed cows and ancient forestry, mountains and lakes lie to the north and east, Harlech beach lies to the west.
We have an onsite host who will liaise with you before and during your stay.
Glyn Cywarch is located near many amenities and attractions in the area, including Harlech Beach, Harlech Castle, Yr Wyddfa (Mt Snowden), the Royal St David’s Golf Course, Zip World, the Ffestiniog Railway and many more.
