Our accommodation at Duns Castle (23 in the castle, 33 in cottages) is available for:
- Weddings and large groups

Each booking no matter how small always has exclusive use of the castle. Duns Castle has stunningly beautiful public rooms, unique bedrooms, a happy warm atmosphere, and great vistas and views for photographs. A full size billiards table is available in a dramatic room at the top. All castle bedrooms have tea/coffee making facilities and bathrobes.

Sleeping in a Castle
The Blue Four Poster Room
The principal guest room in the 14th century tower with romantic alcoves, a gothic tower ensuite bathroom and original bedhangings. Its historic timeless atmosphere is unique.
The Blue Dressing Room
A charming room next door, southfacing, open views, queensize bed, and a 17th century carved wardrobe. Washbasin. Shares a bathroom with the Pink Fourposter and Pink dressing Room.
The White Four Poster Room
Double aspect views out over lake and avenue with a washbasin and also an ensuite bathroom. Very private with its own corridor.
The Pink Four Poster Room
The largest bedroom in Duns Castle, with a king-size four-poster bed and washbasin. The high view to Duns Law and the lake is amazing. It shares a bathroom and shower with the Pink Dressing room and Blue Dressing room. Includes writing and seating areas.
The Pink Dressing Room
Next door to the Pink Fourposter, it is a large double room facing west with unusual views of a dramatic gargoyle and the castle turrets. Warm and rich.
The Green Four Poster Room
This lovely peaceful timeless room is a lovely peaceful room, looks south to the Castle Park. It has an 18th Century double four-poster bed and traditional writing desk. The room has a connecting door to the Single Green Dressing Room (they share a bathroom) which is great for families sharing, however the door can be locked.)
The Green Dressing Room
The Green Dressing Room is the only single room but that isn’t to say it isn’t any less luxurious, it has a heavily carved tall impressive wooden bed and overlooks the front meadow. It has an inter-connecting door to the Green Four Poster room which may be locked if you are not using both. One bathroom with over-bath shower is shared between this room and the Green Four Poster.
The Yellow Twin Room
The Yellow Twin Room is a lovely bright en-suite room with two single beds, facing south. Traditionally furnished and on the main bedroom floor and overlooking the Castle Park. Additional wash basin in bedroom.
The Pink Twin Room
This room on the mezzanine floor (ideal for those finding a lot of steps difficult, is spacious, south facing, and with two single beds overlooking the front of the castle It is en-suite . It has a remarkable built-in Georgian writing desk.
The Russet Twin Room is next door to the Pink Twin Room, similarly furnished but facing west and with a separate bathroom. These rooms being on a lower mezzanine level are more suitable for guests who have difficulty with stairs.

The Russet Room is next door to the Pink Twin Room. Fitted with a SuperKing bed, the room is west-facing and has a separate bathroom. These rooms being on a lower mezzanine level are more suitable for guests who have difficulty with stairs.
The Blue Tower Room
The Blue Tower Room is fantastically romantic and private as it is reached via a spiral staircase to the Castle Tower. The room has a small writing and seating area and beds /cot may be placed if required) a large airy en-suite bathroom . Views east and south over trees and park.
The Yellow Tower Room
The Yellow Tower Room is next door to the Blue Tower Room, with a huge four poster bed and a private bathroom across the corridor with an antique cast iron bath. South views to the castle park.
