Accommodation at Duns Castle
Duns Castle Estate can accommodate up to 54 guests in 29 rooms – 23 guests in 12 rooms in the castle and 33 in 18 rooms among the 7 holiday cottages.
Duns Castle
Guests at Duns Castle have the choice between fully catered, semi-catered or self-catered, and in each case can enjoy the castle on an exclusive-use basis. This includes 12 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 13 toilets, entrance hall, Main Hall, 2 reception rooms, 2 function rooms, fully equipped kitchen and Billiards room. The Main Hall is breath-taking with its grand staircase, stone floor with rugs, beautiful stalactite ceiling, arched features and minstrel gallery, and is often used as a reception area. The Dining Room (seating up to 60) is equally stunning with a grand oak table (seating up to 34), a large fireplace with intricate carvings, an ornate ceiling and 8-foot thick walls (the original part of the castle) with wood panelling. The Drawing Room is spacious and comfortably decorated with wood burner, grand piano and bow window overlooking the gardens and nature reserve to the North. The bedrooms are comfortably furnished, some with four-poster beds and amazing views onto the property. Every booking includes free parking, central heating, log fires and supply of logs, bed linen, towels, Freeview television, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridgefreezer and washing machine. Cots and highchairs are available by request.

Additional guest space is also available in our six cottages on the estate and within easy walking distance of the castle. Ideal for couples, families, larger groups, walkers, birdwatchers, fishermen and golfers, these timeless holiday cottages offer exclusive private getaways with a peaceful lake, forest trails and stunning surroundings.
