Arrive in style by car or carriage at the impressive West Front, and make a grand entrance up the main staircase, or be more relaxed and dress at your leisure in the Yellow Bedroom, before descending to receive family and friends in the magnificently restored state rooms below.

Exchange your vows in an atmosphere of warmth and timeless grandeur in the classical splendour of the Stone Hall, or for a smaller gathering chose the more intimate surroundings of the Ladies Withdrawing Room.

Celebrate afterwards with the lavish entertainments traditional to this historic setting. Drinks and croquet on the main East Lawn, with its breathtaking views over the Rye valley, provide a backdrop which is every photographer’s dream.

Or wander along sweeping terraces while you admire the towering veteran trees and classical temples for which the garden is famous. Then back to the house for a sumptuous wedding breakfast served in the Saloon – a 90 foot long ballroom with oak-panelled walls, an ornate plasterwork ceiling, and richly gilded decorations, all overlooking the garden.

End your special day by dancing the night away in a stylish marquee.
