Wheelchair access to the House is via the Great Hall door. Access to the House for wheeler users is at ground floor level only. We are unable to accommodate motorised scooters within the House.
The Formal Garden contains a mixture of stone, grass and gravel pathways.
With the exception of registered assistance dogs, unfortunately dogs are not permitted in the House and Gardens. We kindly request that assistance dogs wear their coloured harness or jacket.
Deene Park has been the home of the Brudenell family since 1514 and was the seat of the 7th Earl of Cardigan who led the Charge of the Light Brigade in 1854.
Generations of the Brudenell family have altered the house to suit their needs and have helped endow the collections within, which contain Tudor Manuscripts, Old Masters and Family Portraits, porcelain and much military memorabilia from the Crimean War.
Explore the Tudor Great Hall, admire Lady Cardigan’s Victorian ball gown, meet Ronald, who rode at Balaklava, and marvel at the impressive Georgian wing, built for entertaining.
