Birdsall is a stunning family home situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, 20 miles from York. We offer a choice of venues for your wedding celebrations, all of which are within the beautiful house and gardens. We offer a wedding planner as party of our venue hire and each event has exclusive use of the venue.
We have a Church within the grounds in which you can hold a religious ceremony or if you are looking for a civil ceremony we have a unique set of 11th century ruins in the gardens or six stunning reception rooms in the house. We host wedding breakfasts for up to 150 guests in the Ballroom at Birdsall and evening celebrations for up to 200 guests are held in the old ‘downstairs’ Victorian kitchens complex of rooms which have been recently renovated to create a members club style events venue with a 1920’s prohibition vibe. We have 6 beautifully decorated ensuite rooms for the bridal party to stay at the house and plenty of nearby accommodation for guests.

It is hard to put into words just how amazing the last year has been planning our wedding at Birdsall. From the second we walked into the stunning house we fell in love with you all and the beautiful surroundings. You have made the process of planning a wedding so enjoyable (and hilarious) and this weekend was absolutly perfect, it lived up to all expectations. Birdsall never felt like a wedding venue, it felt just like home and we cant believe how lucky we were to find you and celebrate the most special day of our lives with you all. What a magical, astonishing and very special weekend! We still haven't quite come back down to earth and are reliving countless wonderful memories as the photos arrive. It is one thing owning a beautiful house like Birdsall but quite another to have the ability and flair to make it come alive and literally glow, as it did on Saturday. You all combine a wonderful appetite for fun with a huge amount of practical experience of how to create a memorable wedding. We would have been hard pressed to find anywhere with a more 'can-do' attitude, you were exceptional in the support you gave both our families in the run up to and on the wedding weekend and we are so pleased T & R chose Birdsall for their wedding.
