The ground floor of the Castle, the Chapel and the gardens are accessible to wheelchair users. We regret there is presently no lift to the first floor. We offer ‘blue badge’ priority parking in our central courtyard.
If you are bringing a dog, it should be kept on a lead at all times.
Bickleigh Castle is an ancient water castle remodelled as a fortified manor house during the 15th Century and severely damaged in the 17th, since when it has been much restored.

Bickleigh Castle Gardens are open to the public on Thursdays from 12:00 until 17:00 from 1 April to 31 October. Group visits normally are held on Tuesdays.
The tour of our historic castle takes place at 2.30 pm but at busy times we add an extra tour at 12.45 pm (please check with us).
Grounds: 1pm to 5pm (last entry 4pm)
Tour of castle: 2.30pm.
For groups (10+) we offer tours on Tuesdays. Group visits must be pre-booked and any catering arrangements discussed at the time.
Throughout the Covid pandemic, we have held self-guided tours, providing our visitors with guide booklets. These tours have taken place on staggered time allocations. In 2022 we hope it will be possible to offer guided tours once again; if so, these will normally take place at 2:30 pm and last c. 1hr 15mins.
