The majority of our gardens are accessible on hard standing pathways and we have also invested in our forest areas to make them more accessible to wheelchairs. Accessible toilets are available in our courtyard, near to our Bakehouse cafe, which is also accessible and dog friendly.
Our guided House tours are also accessible and on ground level.
Ashridge House is the perfect backdrop for all sorts of productions. Harry Potter was inspired by our grand staircase in the Main Hall, and the original Whomping Willow was found on Berkhamsted Common on the Ashridge Estate nearby. So you can imagine the cinematic style that is found around every corner of our historic house and gardens. Recent productions have included The Gentlemen (Netflix) and Paddington 3.
