Could this be Merseyside’s most decadent Afternoon Tea?

Knowsley Hall, one of Merseyside’s most iconic and historical stately homes, is launching a very special series of Luxury Signature Afternoon Tea events on Saturday 19^th October 2024, with the opportunity to experience the Hall’s unique heritage.

Inspired by the charming characters and whimsical adventures featured within the poem The Owl and the Pussycat, famously penned by renowned writer and illustrator Edward Lear at Knowsley Hall, guests will embark on a journey of delightful culinary delights, with ingredients freshly sourced from Knowsley Estate’s farms, gamekeepers, and private gardens.

Upon arrival, live music will welcome guests before they are escorted to their table, seated and invited to create a personal cocktail/mocktail, utilising Knowsley Hall’s Walled Garden Gin as a base and adding their own choice of a tea-based tincture. Knowsley Hall’s attentive and knowledgeable staff will then serve guests a selection of savoury delights curated by in-house chef Alex Makin, freshly baked sweet and savoury scones – all accompanied by Knowsley estate honey and fresh thyme from the grounds – and an assortment of exquisite pastries and cakes. Guests can also look forward to unlimited tea of their choosing.

Ideal to treat yourself and a loved one, to gift for a special occasion or to gather a group of friends for a delightful afternoon in a stunning setting, the Luxury Signature Afternoon Tea takes place in the opulent Stucco Ballroom in the heart of the Hall. Here, guests are afforded the opportunity to soak up centuries’ worth of history while enjoying delicious food and drink.
